We use inquiry based instruction to build skills with both understanding concepts in science and in learning and applying the scientific method. Students learn how to think scientifically.
Students use a variety of technology across all curricular areas, as well as learning tech specific skills such as coding.
Students also engage in design challenges to build analytical engineering skills and problem solving.
Math forms the backbone of our STEM program. We have developed a curriculum at BBS that has been specifically recognized for excellence by the NHDOE. All concepts are taught using a research based, multi-sensory structured language approach that begins with manipulative materials, moves through drawings of the materials and ends with students demonstrating consistent mastery with the traditional algorithm.
